How to get Aadhaar Card online through UIDAI website or mAadhaar app

If your Aadhaar card is lost or misplaced then, getting an Aadhaar card has become very easy through UIDAI website or mAadhaar app. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has made provisions for Aadhaar cardholders to order a reprint.



In latest tweet of UIDAI "By authentication via OTP, you can retrieve your Lost/ Forgotten Aadhaar UID/ EID using the website or mAadhaar App. Charges for updating the mobile number with or without other demographic data updates is Rs. 50.



Steps for Aadhaar Card reprint

  • Log in to the official UIDAI website.

  • Click on the 'Order Aadhaar Reprint' option.

  • Enter your Aadhaar number (UID) or Enrollment ID (EID). Details will consist of your Aadhaar Card number (UID), your Enrollment Number (EID), your full name, your registered mobile number. There is a facility to get your Aadhaar card with your email address.

  • You will need to enter CAPTCHA. After this, click either on the "Send OTP" or "Send TOTP" option.

  • OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number and TOTP will reflect in the mAadhaar app.

  • Input the OTP received on the mobile number and then submit.

  • Click on make payment. Select the online payment mode and pay.

  • The page will redirect to a payment gateway where you have to make payment of Rs. 50 (inclusive of GST and speed post charges).

  • Download and save the acknowledgement slip having your SRN.

  • After successful payment, your Aadhaar card will be printed and sent to you via Speed post within 15 days.
